New Members to The Wychwood Golf Club
The membership comprises of 4 main sections, the main club, the Senior Men, the Ladies Section and the Junior Section. All sections are competitive in their own right.
All members have equal access to the course at the weekends.
Member's qualifying competitions are generally run at the weekend, together with a Midweek Medal between April and October. Ladies are also encouraged to play in their own competition at the weekend if they wish.
The Senior Men have access to both tees on Wednesday mornings from 8.30 until 11.30. New members are encouraged to participate in regular activities which are normally lead by the respective Captains. We don't expect a new member who does not know anyone in the club, to struggle for partners to play with. Our staff in the golf shop who administer computerised tee bookings, will whenever possible, try to find a suitable partner.
Ladies morning is Thursday from 9.30am.
All starting times must be booked and players are requested to check in at the golf shop prior to play. All sections enjoy an active match schedule, with mixed matches dotted throughout the season. Mixed social golf is a regular feature in the diary and as our catering department is open for food and beverages during the season from 7.30am until last food orders at 8.45, the clubhouse enjoys constant activity. The clubhouse is a great 19th hole and just the place to bring friends and family for supper on a warm summers evening on the upstairs balcony.
To compliment our full liquor license, we hold a Sunday carvery in the restaurant every week from 12.30 until 4pm, a delicious reason to bring friends and family to The Wychwood. We also hold a Senior Citizen's lunchtime carvery each Tuesday, which also enables the local community to enjoy this lovely location.
Reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment, please call 01993 832011
We endeavor to maintain an environment that we consider to be welcoming, friendly and encouraging, but at the same time upholding the golfer's dress code and course etiquette, which we respectfully ask our members and visitors to observe.
Our ethos is equality not elitism.
