The Wychwood Golf Club Pro-Am Tournament on Friday 16th May
Tom has a 'Field' Day
Knight Frank Property Consultants kindly sponsored this event for the second year running.
After a night of heavy rain, the day dawned cool and damp. 45 Professionals and their teams took to the fairways starting from both the 1st and 10th tees from 8am and the rain mercifully held off during an overcast, cool and breezy day.
Tom teed off from the 1st tee at 8.20 together with his home team. He carded a magnificent 4 under par 68 to afford him leader in the clubhouse together with Ed Goodwin from Cirencester who matched the score. They eventually tied for first place sharing a joint purse of £1350.
Paul Simpson from West Berks. Shot a 69 to finish in 3rd place
First placed team, with an impressive score of 15 under, were rather fittingly from the main sponsors Knight Frank and comprised of, J. Coker, A. Peters and G. Milne. The team each took home a Taylor Made Burner Driver.
Amanda Baker, who is one of our own members and 2007 Player of the Year, lost out on countback, together with her team of, L. Morgan and M. Dykes also on 15 under.
Finally, we are all very proud of Tom and wish him continued success in the future.
In closing, the Directors would like to thank all members who supported this event.
